Penang Trip Makan-Makan Part 3

The next morning we went to Kek Lok See Temple. Before that we managed to stop by the market nearby to have breakfast. After the tasteless Assam Laksa the night before, was searching for some Assam Laksa in the morning. Was told there's a famous Assam Laksa stall near the market but only opens after 10am. So, went around the market area searching for Assam Laksa but can't find any... :p

We ended up having these instead...

I had Curry Noodle. Simple yet delicious.

After makan, we went walk around Kek Lok See Temple, it's been years since I was there. Can't remember much about the temple. Were there for about an hour. Then decided to go off for some more makan. Still can't find the Assam Laksa :p

Before going back to the hotel to check-out (we requested for late check-out), we went for Char Koay Teow.

Love the Char Koay Teow. It doesn't have the dark soy sauce taste like those standard Char Koay Teow. It has some nice succulent prawns and cockles. And top with fresh crab meat.

Steamed Otak-otak was a bit pricey for the size. Hardly get any fish fillet in it. But has the perfect texture for the sauce.

That was all our makan session over the 2 days. Will go back Penang for another makan session some time again.
