Restoran Taiji Eatery Dim Sum

Last time we had Dim Sum was in Kuching with BIL and his wife. Well, not the actual full force dim sum shop tho. So yesterday morning decided to have Dim Sum for brunch. Wanna go our regular but it was so full that some of their customers were queuing outside the shop.

So, we went to Bandar Puteri Puchong to hunt for a Dim Sum shop. There aren't just a couple of shops but quite a few within the same vicinity! We decided to give Restoran Taiji Eatery Dim Sum a try.

*Can't remember what are most of the thing called :p

Puchong Yong Tau Fu

It's been a while since we had our Yong Dao Foo session. So decide to pay Puchong Yong Tau Fu at Batu 14 a visit last Saturday. Nothing much change from there. Patrons were like usual... crowded! Oh... there's one thing that's different from the last visit. Price increased!!!

They used to charge RM0.60 for a piece of yong dao foo, that's probably 6-8 months ago. NOW... it's like RM1.10 per piece!

Restoran Kong Sai

Hubby and I had lunch at Restorant Kong Sai at Bandar Puteri Puchong over the weekends. It's located near the Puteri Mart.

We ordered quarter steamed chicken (they do not serve roasted chicken), pork maw soup and stir fried yau mak.

The verdicts:
  • The "kampung" chicken was tender and juicy with each bite.
  • The gravy that came with the chicken was a bit too salty for my liking. However, the special sauce (above) that they served was just perfect combination with the chicken. It's fragrant with chopped scallion, ginger, parsley, sesame seed oil and some light soy sauce.

The verdicts:
  • It has pork maw, pork belly, button mushroom in it.
  • It has a very peppery taste to it. However, the pork maw were a bit too strong in taste for me.

The verdicts:
  • What can I say about this dish? It's full of "wok hei" (as the Cantonese say). Was just a simple stir fried Yau Mak with chopped garlic. But it's so flavorful.
